The Opportunity This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC).
As the Third-Party Compliance Manager, you'll have the chance to support Abbott globally by providing guidance to business personnel related to Abbott's Third-Party Process (3PP) and Ethics and Compliance issues associated with third parties.
What You'll Work On Support Abbott business personnel with the 3PP and system used to manage the 3PP.
This includes communicating with system users to clarify services provided by third parties, updating information in the 3PP system, and providing 3PP red-flag remediation guidance.
Provide guidance to Abbott business personnel to ensure that 3PP requests are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with the 3PP SOP.
Periodically generate and communicate data and trend analyses, system reports and metrics for OEC and Abbott business personnel.
Aid the Third-Party Compliance (3PC) Team with training and communication (eg, reviewing and updating training and communications, conducting live and/or virtual training, and tracking attendance).
Assist the 3PC team with 3PP system enhancements and updates.
Execute remediation of 3PP red flags and monitor and follow-up on incomplete 3PP remediation.
In collaboration with regional OEC and division leadership, review and implement, as appropriate, regional distributor outreach and training plans.
Support the OEC monitoring program by training and assisting affiliate OEC personnel in conducting third party monitoring, and personally conduct and/or manage deep-dive monitoring of several distributors on an annual basis.
Develop, implement and monitor additional controls related to third parties, with a focus on distributors.
Partner with OEC personnel and Corporate Internal Audit to the support the remediation of 3PC red flags identified through internal audits.
Required Qualifications College Degree required.
Compliance, Legal and/or Audit experience, preferably in the health care industry Minimum of 5 years' experience with, or exposure to, the pharmaceutical, nutrition, diagnostics and/or medical device industry.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, project management and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with the U.
S.
Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws.
High degree of comfort working with Excel (eg, pivot tables) and executing presentations and training (live/recorded).
Excellent time management and project management skills.
Ability to work independently, make decisions, and prioritize/meet deadlines.
